The line graph presents the kerosene price fluctuations in U.S. dollars per gallon from 2019 to 2024, based on U.S. Gulf Coast kerosene-type jet fuel spot prices, excluding transport costs.

In December 2019, the price stood at approximately $1.80 per gallon, followed by a significant decline during 2020, reaching its lowest point at around $0.70 per gallon. This decline coincided with reduced global aviation activity during the initial pandemic period.

A substantial price recovery commenced in 2021, culminating in a dramatic surge to a peak of $4.12 per gallon in June 2022. This peak represented more than twice the pre-pandemic price levels and marked the highest point in the observed timeframe.

Post-peak, prices exhibited a gradual decline throughout 2023, though maintaining levels significantly above pre-pandemic figures. By June 2024, the price is projected to stabilize at approximately $2.30 per gallon, remaining notably higher than the 2019 baseline but substantially below the 2022 peak.
