You recently experienced a delay or cancellation while traveling by plane and want to file a complaint with the airline. Write a letter to the airline customer service department explaining the situation and requesting compensation for the inconvenience. Include: 

  • Details such as your flight number.
  • Departure and arrival times.
  • Any expenses incurred as a result of the delay or cancellation.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction regarding my recent travel experience with your airline. On March 11th, I was scheduled to fly on flight BA4920 from Frankfurt to Dubai. However, I am disappointed to inform you that my flight was delayed.

The original departure time was 5:00a.m, but due to some reason, the flight did not depart until 11:00a.m. This delay caused me significant inconvenience, resulting in missed connections and disrupting my travel plans. As a result, I incurred additional expenses for accommodation and meals during the extended waiting period.

I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to flight disruptions. However, as a loyal customer of your airline, I expect to receive appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused. Therefore, I kindly request compensation for the expenses incurred as a result of the delay or cancellation.

I have enclosed copies of relevant documents, including my boarding pass and receipts for expenses, for your reference. I trust that you will address this matter promptly and provide a satisfactory resolution.
