You are going to have a party. You would like to invite a friend who lives in a city that is a long way from your home. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
- Explain why you are having the party
- Describe your plans for the party
- Suggest how your friend can travel to the party and where he / she can stay
Dear Michael,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am excited to share some wonderful news with you—I am hosting a party at my home next month, and I would be absolutely thrilled if you could attend, despite the distance between our cities.
The reason behind this party is twofold. Firstly, it is to celebrate my recent promotion at work, which has been a significant milestone in my career. Secondly, it serves as an opportunity for me to gather my closest friends and loved ones to express my gratitude for their unwavering support throughout my journey. I believe that sharing this special occasion with you would make it even more memorable.
As for the plans, the party will be held on Saturday, the 15th of July, starting at 7:00 PM. I have arranged for a lively and vibrant atmosphere, with a DJ playing a mix of contemporary and classic tunes to ensure everyone’s enjoyment. Delicious food and a selection of beverages will be provided, catering to various dietary preferences. Additionally, there will be some engaging activities and games to keep the spirits high throughout the evening.
Now, I understand that the distance between our cities can pose a logistical challenge. However, I would like to suggest that you consider traveling by air. There are direct flights available from your city to mine, which would make the journey much more convenient. Upon your arrival, I would be more than happy to arrange transportation from the airport to my home.
Regarding accommodation, I have already reserved a comfortable guest room in my house exclusively for you. It offers all the necessary amenities and ensures a cozy and relaxing stay during your visit. Alternatively, if you prefer to stay at a hotel, I can assist you in finding suitable options nearby, ensuring convenience and proximity to the party venue.
I sincerely hope that you will be able to join us for this joyous occasion. Your presence would truly enhance the festivities, and it would mean a lot to me personally. Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you will be able to attend, as it will help me with the final arrangements.
