You have just spent a weekend staying at the Lilo Hotel in Adelaide. When you got home, you find that you have left a bag at the hotel.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter:
- Introduce yourself
- Describe the bag and its content
- Describe how you left your bag
- What action you would expect from him/her
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Emily Johnson, and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lilo Hotel in Adelaide over the weekend. I am writing to inform you that unfortunately, I have left a bag behind in my hotel room.
The bag is a small black backpack with a red zipper. It contains several important items, including my laptop, a notebook, and a pair of prescription glasses. The laptop is a silver Dell XPS 13, and the notebook has a black cover with my initials, “E.J.,” embossed on it. The glasses are in a black case with a small silver logo on the front.
I believe I left the bag on the desk near the window in room 205 when I checked out on Sunday morning. Regrettably, I did not realize my mistake until I arrived home and unpacked my other belongings.
I kindly request your assistance in locating and safely securing my bag. I would greatly appreciate it if your staff could check the room thoroughly and contact me as soon as they find it. If necessary, I am willing to cover any shipping costs to have the bag returned to me.
I understand that accidents happen, and I sincerely hope that the hotel can help resolve this situation promptly. Thank you in advance for your understanding and assistance. I eagerly await your positive response regarding the recovery of my belongings.
Yours faithfully,
Emily Johnson
